GBC Online - Awana Ministry

AWANA is a non-denominational, international ministry designed to reach

children with the gospel of Christ to train them for Christian service.

Awana is held on Sunday evenings from 5:30pm until 6:55pm

(September - April)

Our Awana clubs are:

Cubbies | 3 & 4 year olds (must be 3 by September 1st)

Sparks | K - 2nd grade

Truth & Training Clubs | 3rd - 6th grades

Our club meeting consists of several parts including time for games, achievements and a Bible story council time. While our facilities and equipment are supplied by the church, each clubber should bring 50cents weekly for dues. The dues help defray the costs of treats and special supplies.

If this is the first year for your child in Awana, then he/she brought home an entrance booklet. This is the first step in Awana achievement. We hope you will help your child complete this booklet in the next three weeks. Please have them continue to bring the booklet to club until it is completed and the leaders have recorded the achievement.

After completing the entrance booklet, your child is eligible to earn more awards as a member of his/her Awana club. We want to work with you in providing balanced physical, social, mental and spiritual activities for your child.

We will have special nights throughout the year where you, as parents, will be able to participate as well.

If we need to cancel Awana for any reason, we will try to contact you via telephone. In addition, it will be announced on WCIC 91.5 FM, WBNH 88.5 FM, WEEK-TV and WMBD-TV.
